Our Annual Used Book Sale took place from May 12th to 18th, 2025.
Our enormous and heartfelt thanks to all who donated books, volunteered their time, shopped, and donated to support the Friends of the Chappaqua Library. Together we raised over $25,000 for the Chappaqua Library!
We look forward to seeing you again next year!

At the Chappaqua Library! The sale takes place in the theater, gallery, and program room.
Yes, upon request.
Donations can be brought to the theater entrance of the library during the designated donation drop-off hours. We will have volunteers stationed at the theater entrance to help unload cars and bring the donations inside.
Nope! We sincerely regret not being able to accept donations ahead of time due to extremely limited storage space. Items left at the library entrance prior to our donation dates will be recycled. Click here to view a list of other local options for making book donations.
We happily accept cash, check, credit card and PayPal.
We are delighted to partner with local, national, and international nonprofits who can take as much as they'd like on our final "free" day of the sale. In 2022, an impromptu partnership was formed with the nonprofit organization Literacy and Water Movement, known then as Faith Kenya Mission America. Representatives from the organization arrived with a truck and carried out all remaining books. These books made their way via cargo ship over many months to Kenya and then were distributed to children at schools and agencies across the country! Please view the extraordinary pictures below.
